Italy’s national airline Alitalia has had to cancel more than 350 flights due to a strike by flight attendants. The workers are unhappy about progress in contract negotiations.
It is estimated the 24-hour strike will affect some 30,000 passengers.
About 200 domestic flights have been cancelled, as well as about 150 international flights.
Alitalia, which the government is trying to privatise, has been hit by a series of strikes. This as it struggles with rising fuel costs and competition.
