Five Britons guilty of terror charges

Five British citizens have been found guilty of plotting to carry out bomb attacks across the UK, which could have killed hundreds of people. The five had allegedly planned to use 600 kilograms of ammonium nitrate fertiliser to make bombs targeting nightclubs, trains and a shopping centre.

The motive for the attacks was reportedly revenge for Britain’s support for the United States in the aftermath of September 11th. Court documents showed police observed the gang meeting two of the four suicide bombers, who carried out the attacks in London of 7 July, 2005.
