Three people have died and five more are still missing after a large tug boat capsized in the North Sea. Coastguards were able to rescue seven crew members, who were taken by helicopter to a hospital in the Shetland Islands. All fifteen people on board The Bourbon Dolphin were Norwegian.
The tug had been giving support to an oil rig 75 miles north of the Scottish islands. 99 workers had to be evacuated from the rig as it was still attached to the boat when it capsized. The five crew members still unaccounted for are believed to be trapped inside the tug’s upturned hull. Divers are still searching for them despite the icy-cold waters and poor visibility.
