Bush in Guatemala after Colombia stop

world news

| |

President Bush has arrived at the penultimate stop on his Latin American tour. Air Force One touched down in Guatemala for a 24-hour visit where the public welcome he is likely to receive is expected to be a little less warm than the one he and Laura Bush were given by waiting dignitaries.

Protestors have warned of mass demonstrations while he talks trade agreements with their President Oscar Berger. Colombia has been a staunch supporter of the war in Iraq. Despite the warm political relationship, on the streets there were the now familiar anti-Bush protests.
