Pundits say Oscars too difficult to predict


It is Hollywood’s big night out, with the anticipation building like never before. The experts seem to agree that nothing is easy to predict ahead of this year’s Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles. Will the best film go to Babel, Little Miss Sunshine, The Queen, Letters from Iwo Jima or The Departed by Martin Scorsese? If not best film, the Queen is in the best actress and best director categories. Helen Mirren played Britain’s Queen Elizabeth. Forest Whitaker is said to be a favourite for best actor for his role in the Last King of Scotland.
