It’s reported Saddam Hussein’s half-brother and a former judge have been executed in Baghdad.
Barzan al-Tikriti and Awad Hamed al-Bandar had been found guilty, along with Saddam, of massacring 148 people in the town of Dujail in 1982. An Iraqi government source announced the news on condition of anonymity, backed up by a statement from one of the men’s lawyers. News of the hangings in Baghdad comes 16 days after that of the former Iraqi dictator, which attracted worldwide criticism because of the conditions under which it was carried out.
