Police in Spain’s Basque region have found more explosives reported to be linked to the deadly suspected ETA bomb attack at Madrid airport last Saturday. 80 kilograms of ammonium nitrate have been found near the town of Atxondo, a day after 100 kilos were discovered nearby.
Several media outlets in Spain are reporting that the police have confirmed a link between the explosives and the Madrid explosion, which killed two men from Ecuador.
Police say the explosives found yesterday were ready for use, and today’s find included detonators and bomb-making manuals.
Police have also been searching Bilbao airport today after a bomb alert, but so far nothing has been found.
