The release of CCTV footage showing one of the victims of a suspected serial killer in Britain has prompted dozens of calls to police. Some 500 officers are now working on what has become a massive investigation into the murder of five prostitutes in eastern England.
They are pouring over 10,000 hours of surveillance television footage. The search is still on for the victims’ clothes – all five bodies were discovered naked. Police have also been following up leads from hundreds of motorists quizzed in the red light district of Ipswich, the city near where the bodies were found. There have been no arrests in connection with the case.
