Three people have been arrested in the French Basque country including the suspected logistics chief of the separatist group ETA, Zigor Garro. It is being reported his girlfriend Marina Bernado and a convicted terrorist have also been seized. They were arrested by anti-terrorism police in a house in the small town of Quezac in southwestern France on Wednesday.
Suspicions they may be linked to an arms factory robbery have not been confirmed. Hundreds of guns were stolen from the factory near the city of Nimes in October after three people forced the director to open the gates saying they had kidnapped his daughter and grandsons. Efforts by the Spanish government to start peace talks with ETA are currently stalled.
