The Basque separatist group ETA has reportedly threatened to pull out of a peace process with the Spanish government. This unless talks being held over the future of the region by Basque political parties make progress soon. In comments on a Basque newspaper website, ETA also accused the Spanish government of harassing its supporters. The group, which announced a ceasefire in March, also said it would begin what it called a “new phase of struggle” against the French government.
