Turkey rocked by several explosions

world news

Dozens of people have been injured in a series of explosions in Turkey. One news agency report said four people had been killed but this has not been confirmed. Three blasts hit the popular southern tourist area of Marmaris. Some of around 22 people wounded are western visitors. The British Foreign Office says 10 Britons were hurt. A fourth explosion rocked the Bagcilar district of Istanbul, injuring six people. Kurdish separatists, leftists, and Islamic militants have carried out bomb attacks in Turkey in the past. So far there has been no claim of responsibility for the latest blasts. They come two days after two bombs exploded in the southern Turkish city of Adana, injuring four people.
