One dead in Hizbollah rocket strikes

Hizbollah has fired a fresh barrage of rockets into northern Israel. Missiles hit Haifa on Sunday evening. Earlier, several people were hurt in the area in rocket strikes. Hizbollah said the latest Haifa raid was in retaliation for the bombardment of Beirut, where a Lebanese cabinet meeting set for today was postponed because of divisions over whether to discuss the disarmament of the militia.

One person died in the Shlomi region of northern Israel in a Hizbollah rocket attack – taking to at least 40 the number of Israeli civilians killed in the conflict.

At least 26 people were injured today as over 220 missiles were fired.
