Relief agencies battle to distribute aid in Lebanon

Humanitarian agencies are struggling to cope with the distribution of aid in Lebanon. With water scarce and medicines in short supply, remaining resources are being fought over with an estimated 900,000 people displaced. However the mood among many is one of defiance and support for Hizbollah remains strong.

“We don’t want anything to eat or drink, we simply want the resistance to win. We’re all ready to sacrifice ourselves for Sayyed Hassan. It’s thanks to him that we and all Arabs can hold our heads up high,” said one woman.

The situation is not only restricted to Lebanon. Many Lebanese who fled the fighting have had to seek shelter in Palestinian refugee camps.
