The southern Lebanese city of Tyre has been the focus of the latest Israeli airstrikes. Central areas and surrounding villages have been hit by heavy bombardments. One target was a building which Israel says housed Hizbollah offices. Among the 13 people injured were six children. Israel says it has killed dozens of Hizbollah fighters in the past 24 hours.
So far more than 430 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Lebanon since the conflict erupted. More than 50 Israelis have died, either in fighting or in Hizbollah rocket attacks on civilian areas. Israeli warplanes also bombed radio masts and other targets north of Beirut overnight. The combat has caused massive internal displacement in Lebanon.
