A factory was one of dozens of targets in northern Israel hit by Hisbollah rockets today. There were no injuries in this attack, but firefighters battled the blaze for several hours amid fears of a toxic leak at the plant. Kiryat Shmona, close to the border with Lebanon, has been targeted several times in the last two weeks since the conflict across the border began.
But the town has been attacked by Hisbollah many times over the years.
Other rockets were launched today at Safed and Shlomi. But none struck the northern port of Haifa. Also in Kyriat Shmona, a fast food restaurant was hit. Again no one was hurt, but a separate rocket fired at the town today hit a house wounding at least one person.
Well over a thousand Hisbollah rockets have been launched at Israel since the middle of July. Nineteen people have been killed.
