New wave of Hizbollah rockets hits Israel

A fresh barrage of rockets has been fired into northern Israel, injuring at least 10 people. The latest attack by Hizbollah hit several areas, including Nahariya. Around 26 Katyusha rockets landed in and around Israel’s northernmost city of Kiryat Shmona. In Carmiel, at least one house took a direct hit, leaving two people with minor injuries, according to doctors. Those in the firing line have been describing their terror.

One man said he saw a mushroom cloud as if a nuclear bomb had hit the ground. Israelis are in no doubt about how deadly these weapons can be. Last weekend, eight railway workers were killed in a single strike when a rocket hit a maintenance depot.
