Israel masses ground forces on Lebanon border

Israel is continuing to mass soldiers and tanks on the border with Lebanon. Troops have already carried out limited incursions inside southern Lebanon and with thousands of reserves ordered to report for duty, Israel is preparing to step up its war against Hizbollah guerrillas.

But it remains unclear how far Israel will go into Lebanon with military sources saying there are no plans for a mass invasion. The Israeli army says it has attacked more than 150 targets across Lebanon in the last 24 hours, including a Hizbollah weapons bunker, command posts and 11 rocket launchers. It also claims to have bombed 12 roads connecting Lebanon and Syria, as well as communication lines used by Hizbollah.
