New Bin Laden tape attacks western crusade against Muslims

The voice said to be that of Osama bin Laden.A new audio tape of the al-Qaeda leader has been broadcast by the arabic television station, Al-jazeera

In the brief excerpts aired, bin Laden accuses the west of waging a “Crusader-Zionist” war on Muslims. He said that the isolation of the new Hamas-led palestinian administration by Western governments was proof of this war. Experts who have heard the tape claim the voice certainly sounds like the Saudi-born militant. They have also said that that the tone of the message is obviously aimed at rallying a Muslim audience. Bin Laden makes a call to the Mujahideen and their supporters in Sudan,to prepare to wage a long term war against the so-called crusaders. In a further quote, he says the people of the west must share responsibility for the policies of their own governments – this remark has worried some observers that it implies westerners continue to be considered fair game for militant attacks. Bin Laden has been on the run since the Us campaign to oust Afgahistan’s taliban government in 2001 after the september 11th attacks. He’s not been heard from since January.
