Radioactive leak at Japanese nuclear plant

world news

A radioactive leak has been reported at a Japanese nuclear plant, though the company says no one was injured and there had been no effect outside the concrete-lined cell concerned. About 40 litres of water containing plutonium and uranium leaked at the reprocessing plant, which is located in Rokkasho in northern Japan. The operator, Japan Nuclear Fuel, says a worker made an error in a remote-controlled process. It is reported there have been other accidents at the plant during trials over the past five years.
