Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes at targets across Gaza early this morning. Missiles hit a four-story building and a stadium in Gaza City – sites Israel claims militants use to fire rockets into the Jewish state. No-one was reportedly hurt. The attacks came a more than a day after a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up inside an Israeli vehicle in the West Bank, killing four Israelis.Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prime Minister has promised an investigation into the death of a top militant in a car explosion in Gaza. Ismail Haniyeh also appealed for calm as the killing sparked a fresh outbreak of fighting between militants and Palestinian security forces.
