Just one survivor in US coal mine blast

world news

| |

The families of 13 trapped miners in the US were told to believe in miracles. But there was no miracle. After initially hearing that 12 of their loved ones had survived their ordeal in a coal mine in West Virginia, relatives were told that only one man had got out alive, and that he was in a critical condition. An explosion early on Monday morning killed one miner and left 13 others prisoners underground. His body was found on Tuesday night as the search continued for his colleagues. It is not clear why the blast happened.
