Deadly ice rink collapse in Germany

At least four people including a child are dead after the roof of a crowded indoor ice skating rink collapsed in southern Germany. Between 20 and 25 others are reported to have been hurt, but at least one person is in a serious condition. The accident happened in the town of Bad Reichenhall in Bavaria. Rescuers are still trying to locate people trapped, and officials say about 20 people are reported missing.

It is reported part of the roof caved in under the weight of heavy snow. Media reports in Germany say a local ice hockey club had been asked by the city council to cancel its training more than an hour before the tragedy because of the danger posed by the snow on the roof.
