Sharon expected to leave hospital Tuesday

world news

All going well, Ariel Sharon should be out of hospital by tomorrow. That is the word from doctors in Jerusalem who have been treating the Israeli Prime Minister for a mild stroke. The 77-year-old was hospitalised on Sunday but surgeons say the condition has not caused any serious damage. The health scare has sparked debate in the media about how long Sharon can dominate Israeli politics. The problem comes only months before he is due to lead his new Kadima party into parliamentary elections.
