The main suspect in a court case hearing claims of paedophilia at a youth centre in Portugal has been released from jail after three years on remand.Carlos Silvino, who is awaiting the outcome of his trial on 630 charges of sexual assault, has been held for the maximum time allowed under Portuguese law.While waiting for the trial to finish, Silvino will be given police protection at his home.The accused was a former driver and gardener at the Casa Pia centre for disadvantaged youngsters in Lisbon.The on-going trial of him and his co-accused, including a former ambassador and a television presenter, started a year ago.
