Successful launch of Ariane 5 rocket

A European Ariane 5 rocket has been successfully launched from French Guiana.Two telecommunication satellites are on board – one of them will provide high-definition television to cities across the US; the second will allow an Indonesian telecommunications company to expand across Asia.This is the third launch of an Ariane 5. In 2002 the rocket had to be destroyed soon after liftoff because of a fault in the cooling system.The rocket has the power to carry up to 10 tonnes of cargo into space.
