Pledges of aid are starting to come in for the areas worst affected by the quake in South Asia. The European Commission says it is making up to three million euros available for urgent assistance. Britain, Germany and Greece are some of the other countries who have offered assistance. The charity Oxfam says Pakistan-administered Kashmir is the area worst affected by the quake, and urgent aid is needed there as winter is setting in.Relief agencies, including Oxfam, are sending teams to the region to help coordinate the distribution of emergency supplies. Volunteers say as well as food and water, tents and blankets will be urgently needed with nighttimes temperatures already dropping.
