Abdelmajid Bouchar, a key suspect in the Madrid train bombings, has been extradited from Serbia to Spain. The 22-year-old Moroccan was detained in June on a train travelling to Belgrade. He had been on the run for more than a year.Bouchar escaped from a suburban Madrid apartment three weeks after the bombings in March last year. Police had begun closing on a group of suspects and Bouchar noticed them as he was taking out the rubbish. He yelled a warning to the others and fled. Seven suspects inside blew themselves up – a police officer was also killed by the blast.Bouchar faces trial for the murder of 191 people as well as one-and-a-half thousand attempted murders in the same attack. He is now being held in a Madrid prison.
