Italian police reveal photos of the man they have arrested and believe to be the fourth of Britain’s would-be bombers. The man is suspected of trying to detonate a bomb in the London Underground station at Shepheard’s Bush. When it failed to explode it is thought he fled the country. Mobile phone calls are said to have been traced en-route from London to the Italian capital, Rome. It was late on Friday that about 40 armed Italian police raided the apartment of someone said to be the suspect’s brother. The unresisted arrest sparked a detailed search while bemused neighbours looked on. “Police came and went into the apartment and took Osman Hussein. He had a hood and they put him into a car and took him away.” said one young eye-witness . Police continued gathering forensic evidence late into the night. Earlier Italy’s Senate approved a series of measures to give the state more powers in the continuing fight against terrorism. The new legislation must now go before Parliament’s lower house for approval.
