More than 150 people have been arrested throughout Pakistan in connection with the London attacks.

Police have been conducting raids on a series of mosques and Islamic religious schools with suspected militant links, sparking protests from young Islamist students. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s information ministry has denied rumours a British Muslim was among those arrested. President Pervez Musharraf, a key Washington ally in its war on terror, ordered the raids after it was revealed three out of the four London bombers were of Pakistani origin and had visited Pakistan before the attacks. Musharraf plans to address the nation on Thursday on the London bombings and the arrests in Pakistan.
