Bomb attack on Italian cultural centre, policeman wounded

A policeman was injured when a coffee machine at the Italian cultural centre in Barcelona exploded in what is being described as a bomb attack.

Police were called to the scene when office workers noticed wires trailing from the coffee machine. Early reports said the explosion was set off when a police dog touched the machine. The dog was killed and a policeman injured. The full extent of the blast is not yet known.
