A guilty plea has been entered from one of the accused in Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal.

22-year-old Lynndie England has admitted seven out of nine charges against her after plea bargaining. At a military court in Texas, she now faces up to 11 years in jail when sentenced later this week. England was photographed humiliating naked Iraqis, appearing in several images that embarrassed Washington and provoked outrage around the world. Another soldier, who is the father of England’s baby, was sentenced in January to ten years in jail for his role in the scandal.
