Saddam's half-brother captured in Iraq


Number 36 on the US military’s most wanted list, Saddam Hussein’s half-brother has been captured in Iraq.

Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hasan al-Tikriti was also an advisor to the former Iraqi president. An official in Iraq’s interim government described the arrest as “a big catch” but no further details were available. Several months ago the interim administration said Ibrahim was one of at least two former Baath Party officials directing the anti-American insurgency from Syria. Most of the 55 people on the most-wanted list have either been captured or have given themselves up.
