Ohio - the second Florida?

All eyes were expected to be on Florida but questions over uncounted ballots in Ohio looks like delaying the final verdict.

As many as 175,000 provisional ballots have been cast but only 135,000 have been tallied – enough however to throw the results into disarray. Earlier Secretary of State, Ken Blackwell, pleaded for patience. “Let’s take a deep breath and relax. We will give you a solid result. If it takes two hours, two days or two weeks, the voters of Ohio will be able to have confidence in the result. So, all the speculation, all the projections, I don’t get into” he said. The dispute evokes memories of the prolonged election recount in Florida four years ago. But this time neither side say they are expecting it will take a long legal battle to decide the outcome.
